Valentino Nii Noi Nortey who also lost his bid to parliament speaking on behalf of Klottey Korley NPP told Dr. Bawumia not to lose hope.
“He (Dr. Bawumia) has people who support him and that’s we are here. We want to encourage him and let him know that we are there for him at any given time.”
He added that the refusal of NPP supporters to vote is what caused the party’s defeat. “We want to congratulate him because we know the NDC didn’t increase their votes in this election, but it was because our NPP folks refused to vote and that’s what caused this (defeat). It is now a time for us to reflect.”
He went on to praise Dr. Bawumia for his commitment to the party and his incredible performance during the campaign period.
