A National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator Akwasi Mensah has sent a caution to Ghanaians who receive food from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the elections.
According to the NDC communicator, the NPP are experts in distributing expired foods, so Ghanaians must be careful in accepting their foods.
Speaking on UTV Morning Show, the NDC communicator stated, “What our mother Seyram did not help our democracy, it is not when people are voting that you will bring meat pie and stuff to deceive Ghanaians, if you work for 8 years you will not go and be giving voters meat pie”.
“Ayawaso West Wuogon is one of the elite constituencies and if you do that you are belittling them, it is not you who will give them meat pie and drink and rice to deceive to vote for you”, he added.
The NDC man warned Ghanaians saying, “The food they are bringing to you, the NPP people are experts in sharing expired goods and if they are bringing food be careful accepting food from the NPP”.
“Ghanaians I am begging you these elections on Saturday the sharing of money and food, don’t let anyone deceive you with money, because the money they are bringing is your tax money, betting tax and COVID-19 tax money are the ones they are bringing to you. it is our money so when they bring the money take the money and vote against them”, Akwasi Mensah reiterated.
Yesterday MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon Lydia Seyram Alhassan was in a viral video sharing food and drinks with voters who were waiting for their turn in a queue to cast their ballot in the special voting exercise.
