The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Ebi Bright has lost the Tema Central seat after re-collation.
There was high tension in the collation room as Ebi Bright, joined by South Dayi MP, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, expressed their frustrations over the EC’s refusal to undertake a full re-collation, with both them storming out of the collation room.
This follow the Accra High Court ordering the Electoral Commission to re-collate results for six outstanding constituencies after an Accra High Court ruling on December 21, directing the EC to finalize the election results for the six constituencies.

The National Democratic Congress despite the Accra High Court directive has stated they will not participate in the re-collation process.
The NDC later ran to the Supreme Court to quash the directive from the Accra High Court.
Meanwhile, the EC has proceeded on the re-collation with the Obuasi East constituency Patrick Boakye Yiadom of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been conrimed the winner by a 19-vote margin.
Frank Annoh-Dompreh the incumbant member of parliament for Nsawam-Adogyiri has also been declared the winner after re-collation today.
