The youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Juaboso Constituency, have intercepted two buses loaded with macho men from Burkina Faso.
The macho men are believed to have been imported into the country by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to foment trouble during the December 7, general elections.
The NDC youth managed to apprehend the buses with the macho men at Sefwi Asawinso after suspecting something was amiss with their appearance.
After boldly confronting them, they realized the men were not Ghanaians and immediately hauled them to the police station.
The Ghana Police Service is currently investigating the macho men to find out why they are travelling to Ghana and also the individual or individuals behind their coming to Ghana.
With the December 7, general elections 3 days away, the NDC has pledged to do everything in their power to prevent violence from erupting in the country, and ensuring the elections are free and fair.
Although there are 13 candidates contesting for the election, the contest is mainly between the NPP and NDC with the possibility of some ‘smaller’ parties and independent candidates causing an upset in the election.
