A New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator Chairman Omari-Wadie has made a shocking claim about the NDC win in the 2024 elections.
Chairman Omari-Wadie has claimed the National Democratic Congress won the 2024 elections because of the Russia-Ukraine war.
He added that the COVID-19 pandemic and the current parliament are also to be blamed for the NPP’s embarrassing defeat.
The NPP communicator is quoted by GHONE TV to have said, “The NDC’s victory was influenced by the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the current parliament”.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has openly addressed the party’s loss in the 2024 elections, stating that while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) claimed victory, it was the NPP that ultimately handed them the win.
Speaking to a delegation of constituents and executives from the Korley Klottey Constituency, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the NPP’s failure to retain its voter base due to a lack of appreciation for the party’s support.
He emphasized that, upon analyzing the election results, it became clear that the NPP inadvertently handed power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) rather than the opposition party outperforming their 2020 results.
