Some NDC supporters in the Awutu Senya West Constituency have arrested four individuals who attempted to steal construction materials from the Agenda 111 hospital project site at Awutu Beraku.

The incident unfolded after a tip-off during a meeting with the local police commander.

One of the NDC supporters shared, “Yesterday, we were having a meeting with the police commander when someone called me from Small Landing, where the Agenda 111 project is being built.

They said two cars were parking iron rods from the site.”

“I told him, they said they are parking iron rods out of the site.

What can we do?” The commander’s response was unexpected: “Let them get arrested.”

The NDC supporter, baffled by the suggestion, replied, “How can I do such a thing? You’re the commander!”

Undeterred, the supporter sent someone to check the situation, only to find that the suspects had already fled.

But the drama didn’t end there. Later that evening, another call came in, claiming a truck was loading materials from the site.

“I had to call my guys to go and check whether it was true,” the supporter explained.

When they arrived, they found a truck filled with cement, plaster board, wire mesh, iron rods, roofing sheets, and other materials from the project.

“We made sure they brought the materials to the police station,” the supporter said, stressing that they were acting to protect the interests of the constituency, not any political party.

“We are doing this for Mother Ghana, not for the NDC, not for Mahama or Gisela. We are doing this to protect the future of this country.”

“We are monitoring every government property on this land,” the supporter added.

“We cannot let anything be destroyed. Our incoming president cannot start from scratch. We need to build on what has already been done.”

The four arrested individuals are currently at the police station, where they are waiting to give their statements. The CID is expected to take over the investigation from here.
