Investigative Journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has fired shots at the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to Manasseh Azure Awuni, the NDC by interfering with the collation exonerated the Electoral Commission of Chaos at the collation centers.
Manasseh Azure asserted that the EC bases for a re-collation stem from the disruption caused by rowdy NDC supporters.
He wrote on X, “What excuse would the EC have given for the delay if the collation centers had not been thronged by party supporters? What excuse would the EC have given for calling for re-collation if the processes had not been disrupted by rowdy party supporters, during which some electoral materials were destroyed?”
“Even if the EC committed grave offences in the contested constituencies, as alleged by the NDC, the NDC has given the Commission an umbrella to shelter from the scorching sun of accountability”, he further wrote.
Meanwhile the Electoral Commission through an Accra High Court order has re-collated the Obuasi East, Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, Nsawam Adoagyiri, and Techiman South, which were previously declared in favor of the NDC have been re-declared for the NPP.
Two constituencies left outstanding are the Ablekuma North and Dome Kwabenya.
