A netizen has alleged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) agents are using electronic devices to disrupt biometric verification processes in the ongoing 2024 elections.
According to the X user identified as Nana Kwame, in polling centers across Ashanti, Eastern, Ahafo, Central, and other regions that are likely to vote massively for NPP the NDC agents are using these devices.
He further stated it is a deliberate attempt to frustrate voters in our strongholds.
Another X user under Nana Kwame’s post, however, dismissed the allegations, according to him the device is not an electronic device but rather a tally counter.
Meanwhile, the 2024 general elections are underway across the country as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years with barely 30 minutes to go before the deadline at 5 pm.
In total 18 million registered voters are set to decide the nation’s next president and the structure of the 275-member Parliament.
In total, 12 candidates are vying for the presidency, with the front runners being the NPP’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NDC’s John Mahama, Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyeremanten.
