Mohammed Ismail Sherif, known as Black Sherif, in a recent interview on TV3,shared that his mother still doesn’t fully believe he is the popular artist Black Sherif.
“My mom still doesn’t know that I’m Black Sherif,” he revealed, laughing. “I feel like she needs some time to really accept that this is who I am now.”
Black Sherif went on to explain how his mother, who calls him “Sheriff,” has been adjusting to his rise in the music industry. His father, on the other hand, calls him “Killer.”
When asked about the line in his hit song referring to his mother, Black Sherif acknowledged that she sometimes gets upset over the things people say about him.
“She goes vex sometimes.
She sees things on the internet, and it worries her,” he said.
“There are so many things I’ve not done because of my mom,” he said, emphasizing how important her comfort and peace of mind are to him.
