The Member of Parliament for Obuasi East, Patrick Boakye-Yiadom is reported to have started drilling a borehole in his constituents on election eve.
According to reports, the MP contracted borehole drilling experts to commence work on 6th December, 2024, with drilling taking place as late as 6:47pm.
It is alleged the MP wanted to complete drilling and commission the project in the morning before polls were opened.
An X user named, @Mhaamie_Aquosua made the post and claims because of the loose nature of soil in the area, the MP would have complete the project at the stipulated time for commissioning.
Patrick Boakye-Yiadom the MP for Obuasi East on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is seeking re-election and is up against the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Samuel Aboagye.
Voting to elect the next president of Ghana and parliamentary representatives to lead Ghana for the next four years is currently ongoing.
The elections which was scheduled to start at 7am prompt encountered some challenges I’m certain constituencies, but they have been resolved.
