The December 7, 2024 parliamentary election was a big boost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as a party.

The NDC, the minority caucus in the current parliament (8th Parliament), will go to the 9th Parliament being the majority caucus with an overwhelming two thirds of MPs in their corner.
Currently, the NDC has one hundred and eighty-seven (187) seats to their name.
Out of this number, thirty-two (32) of them are females. This number goes to show the level of representation of females in Ghana’s politics.
