Ghanaian musician, Medikal says colleague Fameye had every right to have been angry and storm of the stage during his performance in London.
Highlife artist Fameye stormed off stage in frustration at the Xmas Highlife Concert held at the Dominion Center in London.
The singer expressed deep disappointment with the DJ, whose mishandling of the performance left Fameye visibly upset and the audience bewildered.
What finally broke the straws back and ultimately led Fameye to walk off the stage was when the DJ played a track of Amerado during Fameye’s performance.
According to reports, the promoter of the event refused to fly Fameye’s DJ to the show although the artiste made the request.
Medikal reacting to the incident stated, “I think he was right (to walk of the stage) because I will be vexed if I am performing and you play another artiste’s song.”
Medikal indicated that Fameye should not be blamed for his outburts as some promoters outside of the country refuse to provide artistes with all the support they need to make a performance top notch.
“Some people will say Fameye is too known but he couldn’t do anything about it. Because if he had brought his DJ, this nonsense wouldn’t have happened and it makes sense that he was angry,” he added.
Medikal advised promoters outside Ghana to always honor the requests of artistes as “an artiste coming with his DJ, manager and team members will help make the show go well. If he (Fameye) had brought his team, I doubt this would have happened.”
