A heated argument erupted between Basintale and the Police Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over a gun brought into the Electoral Commission’s regional office.
The confrontation occurred after Basintale and his bodyguard had initially agreed to return the firearm following a second security check.
However, tensions escalated when the CID Director confronted Basintale over the weapon’s presence, leading to a verbal altercation.
As of Monday, December 9, barely 48 hours after the polls, some disgruntled NDC supporters invaded several state institutions, including the office of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in Ayawaso East Municipality in Accra.
