The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has expressed dismay at the thousands of people who participated in the NDC’s “Enti Asanteman Aseda Ni” walk in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
John Mahama, who could not believe the large crowd he met at the World Bank of the NPP asked if he was dreaming and whether he was truly in Asanteman.
Speaking to the large crowd, John Mahama said, “I am saying someone should wake me up, I’m I dreaming or what, is this truly Kumasi, are we in Asanteman, that is why Dr. Bawumia cannot sleep, that is why when they all sleep they are dreaming about Mahama”.
The NDC flagbearer further added, “When they are about to talk his name is coming out of their mouth, I have seen it myself, this year’s elections something will happen in Asanteman”.
Thousands of residents in the Ashanti Region came out onto the streets today to participate in a campaign walk by the National Democratic Congress.
The event drew an overwhelming crowd, demonstrated unity, and energized the base ahead of the December general elections.
Political parties have signed a peace pact ahead of the 2024 December elections with Ghanaians going to the polls in 6 days.
