The defeated Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency Hon. Lydia Alhassan has withdrawn her free shuttle services offered to students.

Lydia Alhassan in the run-up to the 2024 elections offered the University of Ghana students a free shuttle service as part of her campaign efforts.

The member of parliament was even spotted driving the shuttle bus at one point during her campaign.

According to a student at the University of Ghana, the member of parliament has withdrawn the service after she was defeated in Saturday’s parliamentary election.

The official result of the Electoral Commission, John Dumelo, secured 40,561 votes while incumbent Lydia Alhassan secured 27,377 votes.
