The actor’s decision to enter the political arena follows encouragement from local chiefs and elders in the Ashanti Region, who urged him to seek the position.

In an interview, Lilwin explained that his candidacy came after receiving the endorsement of influential figures in the constituency.

The support grew stronger following the release of his movie Mr. President, which garnered attention from these leaders.

They expressed confidence in his ability to represent the people effectively.

Initially uncertain about entering politics, Lilwin said the persistent encouragement from the chiefs, coupled with his desire to remain neutral and not alienate any supporters, led him to consider the move.
