Fenerbahçe coach, Jose Mourinho has fired Turkish media for always choosing to drag him, rather than give him credit for his rather impressive run with the club.
Fenerbahçe have won 5 consecutive games in the Turkish Super Lig, leaving them second place on the league table, 3 points behind league leaders, Galatasaray.
Mourinho, who took over Fenerbahce in the summer six months after leaving Roma has seen the club score more goals than any other team in the Super Lig and given away the fewest.
Regardless of this great performance, Mourinho has received criticism and pressure from the Turkish media.
“But they [local media] still kill me,” Mourinho said in a postgame news conference. “Give me a little bit of credit.
“Clubs and players to evolve, they need stability also in their coaches, in their coaches’ philosophy. So, give me a bit of a break, let me work in peace but if it’s not in peace, there is no problem, I still enjoy it.”
The Fenerbahçe boss added that there is no coach in the world who can cause miracles in three, four, five months.
