Nation Seer, also known as Karma President, has called on President-elect John Dramani Mahama to reject the controversial Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill currently before parliament.
In a passionate appeal, he urged Mahama to focus on the nation’s pressing issues and avoid being swayed by political figures like Sam George, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, who has been a strong advocate for the bill.
In his message, Nation Seer emphasized the importance of leaving the LGBTQ+ community alone, stressing that the government should prioritize development and address the needs of the citizens rather than being distracted by divisive social issues.
He also warned that such controversial legislation could negatively impact the country’s international relationships.
As the international community is a significant source of income for Ghana, Nation Seer highlighted the need to preserve global ties to secure trade, foreign investments, and diplomatic support.
He urged President-elect Mahama to take a more inclusive and progressive approach, focusing on the nation’s long-term development and unity, while considering the broader implications of such legislation on international relations.
