The Kwashieman School, where the ballot papers for the Ablekuma North constituency were kept catches fire.
According to reports the ballot papers were kept at the library which has been burnt down.
A primary eyewitness alleged that he saw three men who took out some ballot papers and burnt down the building.
An Eyewitness account stated, “I had a call this dawn around 1 am, that the school building was on fire, so I stepped out, it is next door to me, I rushed to the place, and I saw one fire tender already there, I saw police on the park”.
“We realized that the library that had the ballot boxes had been set on fire, and the next floor of it had also been caught up, soon after it escalated, the whole thing lasted for four hours”.
The eyewitness asserted that the fire had been doused, he added that he was very sure all the ballot boxes had been lost.
He added, “Apparently the culprit took some out so behind the building they had burnt some ballot papers, the primary eyewitness is called Atta Armah he claims to have seen three gentlemen who tried going through his house and he questioned them, we actually saw the packaged the people came with I have a shot of the polythene bag that contains the fuel they came with”.
