Kojo Oppong Nkrumah retains parliamentary seat

The member of parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has retained his seat in parliament.

According to the parliamentary results, Oppong Nkrumah polled 18,601 votes, while his closest contestant, Alfred Osei-Poku, had 13,415 votes.

Provisional results from the 2024 general elections have started dripping in, as an early glimpse of the nation’s voting trends.

Ghanaians have voted to elect a president and 276 parliamentarians for the next four-year tenure.

The 18,774,159 voters cast their ballots at polling stations in all 276 constituencies in the 16 regions of the country.
