Sources close to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have disclosed to yawanews.com that Julius Debrah will be appointed as the Chief of Staff for President-elect, John Dramani Mahama.
Julius Debrah held the position of Chief of Staff for President Mahama when the NDC was in power in 2012.
He was appointed Chief of Staff in February 2015 after the former, Prosper Douglas Bani was sacked from office.
Prior to his appointment as Chief of Staff, he had served as the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development the one year prior.
Julius Debrah being appointed as John Mahama’s Chief of Staff once again after the NDC’s landslide victory over the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the December 7, 2024 polls is no surprise to Ghanaians.
Although his appointment is yet to be made public, he has been named Co-Chairperson of the transition team for John Dramani Mahama in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845), an indication of the veracity of the rumors.
