Joana Gyan attacked, six injured

At least, six supporters of the Amenfi Central National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been injured, while the Parliamentary candidate, Joana Gyan Cudjoe escaped unhurt at Adjakaamanso when some suspected thugs reportedly attacked Madam Gyan and her entourage while returning from a campaign on Saturday night.

Her campaign vehicle was damaged as it’s glasses were smashed by these thugs.

The victims suffered wounds on their heads, hands and legs.

They are currently being treated at a nearby hospital while the case has been reported to Wassa Dominase Police Station for further investigation.

One of the victims (name withheld) said Madam Joana Gyan and her entouragr were returning from a campaign at Adjakaamanso.

Suddenly, the victim said, a vehicle crossed Joana Gyan’s vehicle, pounce on them and allegedly smashed the vehicle.

Reasons for the attack is not known at the time of filling this report as the police has commenced investigations.
