President-elect John Mahama has said Ghanaians hope that President Akufo-Addo will sign the LGBTQ+ bill.
According to John Mahama, if President Akufo-Addo does not sign the LGBTQ+ bill the bill will expire, and the next parliament will have to look at it again.

“And of course, like I said we are not people who promote that kind of attitude the Bible, is very clear on issues like that, we will continue to remain faithful to our spiritual guidance and do things that are necessary”, he stated.
Meanwhile, the court has set December 18, 2024, for the final hearing of the suits two Ghanaians filed against the passing of the Family Values Bill by Parliament.
