The Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has predicted a grim outcome for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) should the courts order a rerun of the disputed parliamentary seats.

Speaking in an interview on GHOne TV, Dankwah asserted that available polling data, including exit polls, strongly suggests that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would secure victory in most, if not all, of the contested constituencies.

Dankwah pointed to polling trends in key areas like Tema Central, Dome Kwabenya, and Okaikwei Central, where the NPP was already on shaky ground.

“For more than six months, our polls consistently showed that the NPP was losing Tema Central and Dome Kwabenya. The only constituency they seemed to be leading was Okaikwei Central,” he explained.

On election day, exit polls further reinforced these projections. Dankwah noted that the data collected from voters after casting their ballots indicated that the NDC was likely to win in constituencies like Okaikwei Central, Tema Central, and Dome Kwabenya.

“The evidence from the data is overwhelming,” he emphasized.

However, he expressed surprise at some of the declarations made by the Electoral Commission (EC) in favor of the NPP, particularly in constituencies like Tema Central and Ablekuma North. According to Dankwah, the EC’s justification for reruns, citing the use of incorrect forms, raises concerns.

“The forms were signed by live individuals, and no one has disputed the numbers. If the wrong form was used, all that needed to be done was to transfer the correct figures onto the proper form and have them resigned,” he argued.
