President-elect John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that his plan is to go into full time farming after retiring from active politics.
During an interview following his visit to his farms in Yapei and Busunu over the weekend, Mahama emphasized his deep passion for agriculture and his intention to immerse himself in it once his political career ends.
He underscored his lifelong connection to farming, describing it as a field he has always cherished and highlighting his eagerness to return to his agricultural roots.
Reflecting on his career choices, Mahama noted that farming would have been his full-time profession if he had not ventured into politics.
“Farming is my life. I love it. I am sure if I didn’t go into politics I would be a full-time farmer. In any case, when I retire after this stint, of course, I am going to go into full-time farming”, he said.
He added that anyone seeking to visit him after his retirement wil have to come to his farm. “If you want to see me, you will have to come here unto the farm,” Mahama stated.
President-elect John Mahama is a grower of soybeans and means which he supplies to farms in Asutuare where they are used as animal feed.
