A University of Cape Coast (UCC) student is going viral on X after explaining why he would choose a First-Class degree over $1 million.
In a video, he confidently shared his belief that a First-Class degree offers more long-term benefits than a lump sum of money.
When asked to choose between $1 million and a First-Class degree, the student stated, “I’ll choose First-Class over $1 million.”
He explained that while $1 million may hold value today, its purchasing power will depreciate over the next 20 to 40 years.
On the other hand, a First-Class degree offers job opportunities, intellectual empowerment, and greater life insights, making it far more valuable in the long run.
He also pointed out that while billionaires who didn’t attend school may have amassed wealth, they employ people with higher education to manage their businesses, further emphasizing the importance of a quality education.
