Former National Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has stated he wasn’t aware of any research that pointed to the NPP loss in the 2024 elections.
According to Freddie Blay six or seven months before the December polls, the NPP realized they were not in a very good position.
The vice Chairman of the Bawumia campaign team Nana Akomea in a interview revealed that the NPP research as early as February, showed John Mahama was going to win.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on JOY News, Freddie Blay stated, “I wasn’t aware of any research that had pointed to our loss, earlier time, we realize that we were not in a very good position that was about six or seven months before the elections”.
“We had pointed out a few factors that were not in our best interest and we were confident that we would work on them before the elections, any other research that was commissioned had come out to say that we were quite competitive it wasn’t easy where not predicting a massive victory, it was difficult but we succeed will clinch victory being whatever it takes”, he added.
Freddie Blay further revealed that the NPP is analyzing the factors that led to their defeat.
“It turned out the other way, and it is unfortunate but why not we are taking a lot at it analyzing the factors and seeing what went wrong, but readily there are a few reasons that things we difficult”, he added.
