John Dumelo, the elected member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon has revealed he spent a lot to win the Ayawaso West parliamentary seat.

According to John Dumelo, he spent a lot and still even owes.

John Dumelo was reacting to an X user who asked him for some coins for waakye.

The user wrote, “Boss I know you’ve spent a lot on your campaign. But can I please get some coins for waakye?”

John Dumelo reacted saying, “ I really spent a lot oooo….i still dey owe sef”.

According to the official result of the EC, John Dumelo secured 40,561 votes while incumbent Lydia Alhassan secured 27,377 votes.

Meanwhile, speaking to his constituent after he was declared winner John Dumelo stated, “We have sent the elephant back into the bush, the elephant is not coming back outside again, we have beaten them by 13,000 votes in Ayawaso West Wuogon, this seat is not going back to the NPP ever again, we have taken back our seat”.
