The incumbent member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson has said in this election when an opponent slaps her, she will not mind them, but she will retaliate after the elections.
According to Hawa Koomson, she is now a mature politician, and she is now like a professional politician.
Speaking to the media during the ongoing December polls, Hawa Koomson stated, “My wins are from God, it is not my strength, the percentage is also in the hands of God, I believe that I am not going to have a percentage less than 60%”.
She further detailed these elections she plans not to retaliate even if her opponent slaps her, but retaliate after the 2024 elections, saying, “There is so much difference even in our campaign you have seen it, I am a mature politician, and if you are mature in doing something you always have to make sure that you exhibit your maturity and your professionalism”.
“I am more or less like a professional politician, I wouldn’t want to go into the gutters with those who are now coming, so it cannot be a reply. I promise from the beginning of 2021 that, in 2024 never again tell you even if I stand here and my opponent comes to slap me, I won’t mind her, I won’t mind her but when we are done, I will retaliate”, she detailed.
The 2024 general elections are underway across the country as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.
