Henry Quartey, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso Central constituency has been booted out of parliament by his constituent.
According to the official results certified, Henry Quartey pulled 23,345 votes while Abdul-Rauf garnered 29,755 votes.
Provisional results from the 2024 general elections have started dripping in, as an early glimpse of the nation’s voting trends.
Ghanaians have voted to elect a president and 276 parliamentarians for the next four-year tenure.
The 18,774,159 voters cast their ballots at polling stations in all 276 constituencies in the 16 regions of the country.
