Findings from ChatGPT’s analysis of Ghana’s 2024 presidential manifestos have revealed a unique ranking of the leading candidates.

The AI evaluated the manifestos based on innovation, feasibility, and their potential impact on the nation. While these insights provide a fresh perspective, they represent ChatGPT’s interpretation rather than human judgment.

In fourth place is Nana Kwame Bediako, the independent presidential candidate and leader of The New Force. He proposed bold initiatives like regional industrial hubs and the creation of a Sovereign Wealth Fund to drive resource-based industrialization.

While ChatGPT acknowledged the ambition behind these ideas, it flagged concerns over the lack of detailed implementation strategies and the substantial financial resources required.

Third place went to John Dramani Mahama, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC), with his “People-Focused Manifesto.”

The manifesto prioritizes tax cuts and the introduction of a 24-hour economy to provide immediate relief to Ghanaians.

While these proposals resonate with many voters, ChatGPT raised concerns about the long-term sustainability of such policies.

Second place was awarded to Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the leader of the Movement for Change (MFC), who presented a strong vision for industrial transformation.

His plans include the creation of “algo parks” to foster technological innovation and vocational training initiatives to address youth unemployment.

However, ChatGPT pointed out that the success of these initiatives heavily relies on private sector partnerships, which could delay their implementation despite their potential benefits.

Topping the rankings is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who stood out for his balanced approach to both immediate needs and long-term goals.

ChatGPT praised the NPP for its emphasis on fiscal discipline, governance reforms, and innovative solutions like telehealth and the National Credit Core system.

These initiatives address both current challenges and future aspirations, offering a well-rounded vision for Ghana’s development.
