Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association applauded president-elect, John Dramani Mahama for his victory in the 2024 Presidential elections.
Kurt Okraku in a statement released by the GFA said John Mahama’s victory in the 2024 elections is a testament of the faith Ghanaians have in his leadership.
The Statement also added that the GFA is ready to work with the president elect in developing football.
“Your return to power is a testament to the confidence the people of Ghana have in your leadership and vision for our nation.
“As you embark on your second term in office, the football family wishes you success in your efforts to spearhead the nation’s development and prosperity.”
“The Football Association believes that with the support of your administration, we would continue to create a thriving football ecosystem that produces world-class players and teams capable of bringing glory to Ghana,” part of the statement read.
John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the presidential race in the December 7, 2024 elections decisively, beating the New Patriotic Party’s candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with over 1.5million votes.
