The latest FIFA rankings have seen Ghana dropping significantly in the world and in Africa.

This comes after Ghana’s abysmal performance in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in November which resulted in the Black Stars elimination from the qualifications.

In October, Ghana held the 73rd spot globally, but their ranking declined following a string of disappointing performances.

The Black Stars struggled throughout 2024, securing just three wins in 15 matches across all competitions. Only two of these victories came in official fixtures.

Ghana’s best place in the 2024 FIFA ranking was 67th in February.

Now, the team is facing a downward spiral but Ghanaians are hopeful the team can be salvaged in the future.
