The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for Mujaheed Suraj, also known as Mims.
Mims is wanted in connection with a shooting incident at Odupongkpehe Park (Kasoa) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region.
Mims is accused of shooting and injuring one person in the leg during the incident.
According to the police statement, the suspect reportedly fled the scene, leaving behind his vehicle, which has since been secured by the police.
Meanwhile, the 2024 general elections have ended across the country as Ghanaians vote have decided their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.
In total 18 million registered voters are set to decide the nationโs next president and the structure of the 275-member Parliament.
In total, 12 candidates are vying for the presidency, with the front runners being the NPPโs Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NDCโs John Mahama, Nana Kwame Bediako, and Alan Kyeremanten.
