The Ghana Police Service has arrested four persons linked to the shooting incident at Nyankpala in the Northern Region.

The suspects, Majid Issah, Fodi Issiage Kamara, Yakubu Simalia, and Alhaji Bashiru Mohamed were arrested this afternoon and are in police custody.

One person has been shot dead with four others injured after an incident in Nyankpala in the Tolon constituency.

According to reports, some NDC Youth in the area intercepted buses that they suspected to be carrying some unknown individuals to vote in the area and insisted they were not allowing the bus into the community.

This confrontation turned violent, leading to the guns being fired leading to the death of one person.

The injured victims are receiving medical care while the body of the dead person has been transported to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
