A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Otchere-Darko, has congratulated the NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama.

According to Gabby Otchere-Darko, the Ghanaian people have spoken, and Democracy lives.

Gabby Otchere-Asare wrote on X, “Congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress for an emphatic victory. The people have spoken. Democracy lives. Let Ghana be the ultimate winner”.

Gabby’s congratulatory message comes after the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat in the December 7, 2024, elections.

Dr. Bawumia declared John Dramani Mahama the winner of the elections, admitting that “our internal collation proves that John Mahama has won the election.”

Meanwhile, the EC chair Madam Jean Mensa has yet to officially declare the winner of the 2024 general elections.
