President Akufo-Addo has named a 13-member transition team to meet with their counterparts from the President-elect, John Mahama.
This is in accordance with Section 1 (1) of the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).
The names were released by the Director of Communication at the presidency, Eugene Arhin.

The transition team will be responsible for the smooth transfer of power, providing the John Mahama daily security briefing before his swearing-in on January 7, 2025, and working on the payment of retirement benefits for Article 71 officeholders who have come to the end of their tenure.
