The former Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Samuel Dubik Mahama, in a spirited display of appreciation for the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy introduced by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,
sponsored a motorcade involving approximately 1,000 motor riders (Okada riders) through the streets of Accra.
The event, which drew significant public attention, was meticulously organized by two prominent youth leaders, Alfred Kumi and Moses Abor, whose commitment to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) grassroots initiatives played a pivotal role in its success.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Dubik Mahama described the Free SHS policy as a groundbreaking initiative that has transformed Ghana’s educational landscape.
“Free SHS is one of the most transformative policies in Ghana’s history. It has touched the lives of so many families, including mine.
This motorcade is a celebration of that impact and a call to Ghanaians to protect this legacy,” he said.
The motorcade’s success was largely attributed to the organizational skills of Alfred Kumi and Moses Abor, who are both highly regarded for their dedication to empowering the NPP’s youth base.
Their efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event, which highlighted the importance of supporting policies that benefit the masses.
Samuel Dubik Mahama’s sponsorship of the motorcade underscores his innovative approach to fostering national development and his continued advocacy for policies that uplift communities.
