The member of parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has fingered two top New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials in the looting of Agric extension lands at the prime El-Wak Sports Stadium area in the national capital.
According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, land in issue was originally acquired by the State under a Certificate of Title dated 20th March 1936 for an Aerodrome, and on16th October 1959, the Government of Ghana issued a Certificate of Allocation to the Chief Agriculture Officer.
The two top NPP officials fingered by Okudzeto Ablakwa in his latest State Capture expose are Nana Attobrah Quaicoe, the current Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau, and NPP MP Kennedy Osei Nyarko.
The member of parliament wrote in his latest expose, “In a most reckless, unpatriotic and extremely greedy move, the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has forced out all Agric officials and has proceeded to illegally share that piece of prime land to NPP government officials and cronies”.
“A parliamentary oversight field inspection to the Agric Extension Lands in issue conducted only yesterday December 4, 2024, confirmed that all previous bungalows have been demolished. Contractors are hurriedly completing the erection of a wall while others build residential accommodation with great speed at day and night”, he wrote.
Ablakwa further revealed that the land has now been demarcated into 60 parcels and dished out like confetti by President Akufo-Addo to his cronies at ridiculously low prices.
“The new NPP landowners have been offered a 99-year lease by President Akufo-Addo. None of them paid more than GHS300,000.00 for a plot. Top NPP officials who are beneficiaries of this latest State Capture scheme include Nana Attobrah Quaicoe, the current Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau and NPP MP Kennedy Osei Nyarko” Ablakwa detailed.
The member of parliament detailed, “Mr. Quaicoe is the proud owner of Parcel Number 8. See attached to this publication an irrefutable copy of the official search certificate. Nana Attobrah Quaicoe was the Executive Director of Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko’s Danquah Institute before President Akufo-Addo controversially appointed him Deputy Director-General of the then BNI in April 2019, and subsequently substantive Director-General”.
“Kennedy Osei Nyarko received his 99-year lease from President Akufo-Addo on 4th March 2024. He is now the proud owner of Parcel Number 18”, he wrote on X.
Ablakwa further asserted that one can begin to understand why all the previous State Capture cases politically connected which the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration claimed security officials were investigating have all turned out to be a pathetic charade.
