The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has returned to the Ashanti Region as the campaign hits the finishing lap.
According to reports Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is in the Ashanti Region one more time ahead of the 2024 elections this Saturday.
The information gathered suggests Dr. Bawumia toured 45 constituencies during his last visit and has returned to the region to complete the remaining 2 constituencies he left during that visit since he is touring all 275 constituencies across the country.
The NPP has targeted 75 percent of the votes in the Ashanti region in the 2024 elections.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bawumia in a message to the security services and the media, as they vote tomorrow, December 2, noted that the NPP inherited a security sector facing numerous challenges, from internal disputes to a stretched-thin workforce that needed a comprehensive reform
According to Dr. Bawumia, they have significantly bolstered the ranks across all the security agencies.
Political parties have signed a peace pact ahead of the 2024 December elections with Ghanaians going to the polls in 6 days.
