The Member of Parliament for Juaboso, Kwabena Minta Akandoh, has accused the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, of supporting the ruling government in an alleged attempt to rig the upcoming December 7th elections.
According to Akandoh, Dr. Dampare is “two-faced” and “double-tongued,” claiming that the IGP’s perceived neutrality cannot be trusted.
The MP also revealed that just days before the elections, the Juaboso Police Commander had been transferred, further raising concerns about the integrity of the election process.
Akandoh alleged that security officers were planning to attack certain polling stations and prevent indigenous voters from crossing the border to cast their ballots.
The lawmaker’s claims have added to the growing tension surrounding the election security and the role of the police in maintaining a free and fair process.
