Ghanaian journalist, Manasseh Azuri, has advised Ghanaian youth against allowing themselves to be used by politicians for their own selfish gains.
He charged the youth not to be agents of violence as polls are closed and counting of ballots begin.
The journalist added that after politicians use the youth to achieve what they desire, they will discard them like pieces of rag.
In a post on his official X handle, Manasseh wrote, “Don’t be an agent of violence. They’ll bury you, enjoy the power you fought for and forget your family. Don’t be stupid.”
His post attracted some comments from netizens. Some comments received on X are;
@1Kenteguy :Tiawa! This is what I always say about the youth of this country. We just have misplaced priorities. Ask that same person to demonstrate same amount of zeal towards work, and it will be something else.
@FLEXY024 : I’m even shocked people are ready to die for these politicians who don’t give a fvck about them. Are these people on drugs or is just stupidity
@chelsea_bhoy : We can’t be cowards either Better to die doing the right thing Than living with these criminals
