The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Kwetey, has issued a stern warning to businessmen, urging them not to attempt to corrupt members of the incoming NDC government.
Kwetey emphasized that while the party is grateful for the support it has received, this victory is not just for individuals or the party but for the people of Ghana, especially the youth, who have called for change in leadership.
Speaking in an interview with joynews fifi Kwetey reminded businessmen that there are legitimate ways to conduct business without harming the country’s progress.
He stressed that the incoming government will not tolerate the practice of corrupting officials for personal gain, drawing a firm line against the notion of profiting at the expense of national well-being.
“We want to send a clear signal that anyone who believes the only way to make money is to defraud the country, inflate costs for personal gain, or share money with political allies, must know that such practices will no longer be tolerated,’.
“Corruption is corruption, no matter who is doing it,” he stated.
“We must ensure that our values, rooted in service to the people and the country, guide our leadership.”
