Chief Operating Officer of Crux Global, Ike Otoo Arhin, popularly known as Gomski says Ghana’s creative space has developed into a money making machine for the youth.
According to him, that profitability has taken a lot more of the nation’s youth from the streets and saved them from a long life of crime.
Gomski speaking in an interview on Y107.9FM’s ‘Myd Morning Radio Show’, stated that the monetization of social media platforms has put a lot of money in the pockets of Ghanaian youth.
“(being involved in) creatives now is better than doing fraud, being a content creator is better than doing fraud,” he reiterated.
Gomski insists government must focus a whole lot on developing the creative arts scene and contributing to its growth. To him, a thriving creative arts scene also contributes to economic growth.
“See what Rwanda is doing, see how Dubai used to sell themselves with tourism. Nigerians have done it seamlessly, lets push money into the industry,” he added.
He appealed to the incoming government to prioritize the creative arts scene and enjoy the benefits.
