A netizen has fired shots at the majority leader of parliament Afenyo-Markin.
Bongo Ideas comments come after Afenyo-Markin quizzed the NDC members of parliament on how they are going to cope with ruling Ghana with 60 ministers and how they are going to raise revenue if they repel betting tax, E-levy, and Covid tax.
Afenyo Markin stated, “We are going to see, you said 60, 60 ministers and deputy ministers all-inclusive, Mr. Speaker, we are going to see how you are going to protect the public purse”.
“You say you are going to reduce taxes, you are going to repel the betting tax, e-levy, you are going to repel all these taxes, reduce the taxes at the ports, we wonder where you will get the money to implement the small chicks’ policy”, he added.
According to Albert Nat Hyde, commonly known as Bongo Ideas, China with a population of 1.4 billion has only 27 ministers managing a GDP of $ 18 trillion.
He noted that China does not pay E-levy, Bet Tax, or Covid Tax.
