The 3rd Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, has issued a stern warning to the police, particularly the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, demanding that the NDC hooligans be called to order or the NPP will be left with no choice but to retaliate.
The warning follows reports of alleged NDC supporters besieging government offices across the country.
In a press conference at his residence in East Legon, Alhaji Osman expressed his concern over the group’s actions, including the violent confiscation of property belonging to NPP members.
He condemned the group’s actions, especially after the NPP’s flagbearer, who has always advocated for peace, conceded defeat even before the Electoral Commission (EC) officially declared the results.
Alhaji Osman described the group’s actions as not only criminal but disgraceful and called for strong condemnation.
Alhaji Osman also criticized the security agencies for failing to act swiftly in preventing such behavior.
He appealed to the authorities to take immediate action to curb these unlawful activities and restore peace.
Alhaji Osman issued an ultimatum to the NDC, stating that they have two days to stop their violent actions, or the NPP will take matters into their own hands.
He warned that the NPP is prepared to face anyone who stands in their way, emphasizing that they are not cowards and will not allow such actions to go unchallenged.
