Seurity Analyst Adib Saani has confirmed that 1,210 presidential ballot papers are missing from the Yendi police armory.
According to Adib Saani, the Yendi police armory is the secure location in the constituency.
Speaking to Metro TV he stated, “I had this information last night this morning I double-checked all those who matter it is safe to say yes indeed 1,210 presidential ballot papers are missing in a police armory, the police armory that is supposed to be the most secure place in the whole constituency”.
“Unfortunately, someone was able to access it and tore the bag containing the materials and took out 1,210 presidential ballot papers”, he added.
According to Adib Saani, the issue was discovered during a pre-election audit.
Meanwhile, calls have been made for the IGP to treat the issue with urgency, as it could impact the elections in Yendi.
The 2024 general elections are underway across the country as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.
