Former aide to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Rosemond Obeng, has harshly criticized his leadership style, describing him as a weak leader unfit to manage the future of Ghana.
Obeng expressed concerns that Dr. Bawumia lacks the necessary skills to lead a country of over 32 million people.
“Who is he when it comes to leadership?” Obeng questioned. “With his approach to solving issues and his inability to take charge when necessary, he cannot even correct a small group of people around him when they are misbehaving.
How then can he lead the whole country?”
In an interview on GHOne’s State of Affairs, Obeng expressed her disappointment that people believed Dr. Bawumia could handle the nation’s affairs, stating, “He will be overwhelmed. Ghana will not be safe under his leadership.”
Obeng explained that her decision to speak out was based on her personal experience working with Dr. Bawumia.
“I need Ghanaians to make an informed choice, and I can’t stay quiet when it matters most,” she said, emphasizing the need for strong leadership in the country.
Responding to questions about their relationship, Obeng clarified that her criticism was not driven by personal bitterness or a past conflict.
“I am not bitter; I am simply stating what I know to help Ghanaians make an informed decision,”
