It has been alleged that the Bank of Ghana has issued about 150 appointment letters to individuals.
According to the information gathered from Ghana Chronicles these 150 individuals have been given an appointment and are to start work on December 23.
This allegation comes immediately after Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia conceded defeat to John Mahama in the 2024 elections.
It is common in Ghana to find government institutions issuing appointment letters to individuals once there’s a change in government after a general election, however, it is yet to be established if this allegation by the Ghana Chronicles of the Bank of Ghana issuing 150 appointment letters to individuals is true.
Meanwhile, speaking to Ghanaians on Sunday, December 8, Dr Bawumia detailed, “We will not be destructive opposition even though we will subject the next government to strict scrutiny. We will regroup and come back stronger”.
“Let me say the data indicate former president Mahama has won the presidential election decisively. The NDC has also won the parliamentary elections even though we await the final collation of seats”, he boldly stated.
Dr. Bawumia added, “I just called HE John Mahama to congratulate you.”
