Ballot papers in the Dome Kwabenya constituency have reportedly been set on fire.
According to reports, the ballot papers were burnt after they were intercepted on their way to the collation center.
It is alleged these ballot papers were burnt because they were unstamped and invalid.
The police unable to manage the commotion called for military reinforcement to calm down tensions.
Reports indicate that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has won the parliamentary race in the constituency although the Electoral Commission (EC) is yet to officially declare the results.
The contest was between the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Elikplim Akurugu and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Michael (Mike) Oquaye Jnr
